Introducing guide agent:
Build reusable web routines by demonstration

January 27, 2026

We built our open-source toolkit that reverse-engineers websites into reusable APIs around two key insights:

  • Modern websites already expose their logic. Most web apps are thin yet dynamic frontends that talk to structured backend endpoints for search, filtering, pagination, and form submissions.
  • AI (LLMs) are most valuable at build time, not runtime. They excel at processing sequential data, like programming code and natural language, and inferring structure, so the resulting routines can run fast, cheap, and reliably.

After launching it, one thing became clear fast: building web routines by demonstrating actions in a cloud browser is powerful, but refining and iterating on them can still be tricky.

Today, we're introducing guide, an AI agent you can talk to that helps you create, edit, and refine web routines.

How guide agent works

1. Start a conversation

Describe your web automation needs. The agent can help you clarify the task and suggest an approach.

2. Record your actions

When you're ready, guide agent launches a cloud browser. You simply perform the task the way you normally would:

Navigate to a site, fill out search bars, click buttons, scroll through results

3. Turn actions into a reusable routine

End the recording, and guide agent does the heavy lifting. It analyzes your session to:

  • Identify relevant network transactions and client-side storage used by the website
  • Extract the underlying backend endpoints
  • Parameterize inputs like search keywords, dates, or locations

The result is a complete, reusable web routine, ready to run programmatically.

4. Refine it through chat

Want to tweak something? Guide agent proposes edits you can review and approve, so you stay fully in control while moving much faster than editing routines by hand.

What you can build

Guide agent excels at getting web data behind clicks, searches, and user interactions, and turning them into reusable routines:

  • Search train schedules and fares given origin, destination, and travel date
  • Look up business registration records from state government databases
  • Download research papers from academic repositories given a paper ID
  • Fetch real-time stock quotes and financial data from market portals
  • Pull order history and shipment tracking from e-commerce accounts
  • Export claim documents and policy details from insurance portals

Get started

Visit our console and try it today. Record your first browser session in minutes, and let guide agent handle the automation.
